FAQ
- What is the scoring system?
We use something called the Model-Estimated Value formula developed by the guys at Hardwood Paroxysm. The formula is:
pts - 1.032*fgx - 0.587*ftx + 1.193*as + 1.030*or + 0.512*dr + 1.603*st + 0.981*bk - 1.448*to - 0.225*pf
You can read all about it here. You can calculate player fantasy scores here.
What are the minutes for?
The minutes you select for each player determines the proportion of that player’s fantasy score that you will receive. If you select 48 minutes for a player, you would receive their entire fantasy score. If you play that player 0 minutes, you would receive 0 points. Playing a player 24 minutes would entitle you to receive half that player’s fantasy points since 24 is half of 48. You may select any number of minutes between 0 and 48.
Here is a formula to calculate how many fantasy points you will receive for a player: (Minutes / 48) * Fantasy Score
When are prices updated?
Prices will be updated daily (12 PM) beginning after the first games have been played. So, the first price update is 12 PM on Oct. 29th.
When are rosters locked?
Rosters are locked at 12 PM. Whatever roster you have at 12 PM is your roster for that night’s games. Make sure you have an active roster at that time!
How do I know if my roster is active?
You’ll see a red message if you’re roster is inactive, otherwise you are good to go. To have an active roster, you need to have at least 5 players and to have distributed exactly 240 minutes.
When are scores and rankings updated?
Scores and rankings are updated at 12 PM on a daily basis. If you would like to calculate your stats before we update, please use our fantasy score calculator.
How are prices determined?
Prices are determined by a complex system, but it comes down to 2 factors: fantasy value and demand. Essentially, the more teams that have a player on their roster, the higher that player’s price will be. There is also a momentum factor to demand so when a player is hot, his price will rise quickly.
